The book album consist of 3 parts:
- Russian Art ( 123 reproductions). The core of the Galley 's collection are the works dating from later ninteenth and early twentieth centuries.
- Soviet Art (62 reproductions)
- West-european Art (11 reproductions)
The book album presents a wide range of different kinds of works: portraits, landscapes, history paintings, genre scenes, easel works, illustrations, scenic designs, etc by the most famous Russian and Soviet artists: I. Aivasovsky, V. Vereshchagin, I. Repin, A. Savrasov, A. Kuinji, I. Levitan, M. Vrubel, V. Serov, B.Kustodiev, K.Korovin, etc and unknown artists.
The album was printed in Leningrad in 1989
There are more than 195 color reproductions and several black and white reproductions in the text.
