17th Century Handblown Green Wine Bottle
Named after their distinctive necks and bulbous bodies, shaft and globe bottles were made from 1590 until 1680. This name does not refer to one design but rather to a series of slightly different bottles that evolved over the years. The bottle is a reproduction of an artifact recovered dating from 1620. Bottles like these were often used in the Carribean during the Pirate era. This piece measures approximately 9.5" high.
