This large Cinquedea sword has a blade of unsharpened high carbon steel. The crossguard is steel and the grip is bone fitted within a frame of brass, whilst the pommel is framed within steel. Where the grip meets the crossguard there has been the use of silver paint to blend in the grip to crossguard connection.
