We were told this machine was made in the early 1900's. The machine is called a patch machine as you can turn the presser foot in the direction you wish to sew. It will follow and sew in any direction the foot is facing. Excellent machine for putting patches on a vest, the sleeves of coats and other hard to get into areas. This machine will sew on a variety of materials including leather. The manual for this machine is available for free online. It does need a belt. Needles and threading device are not included.
