The concept behind the IOTC ARMOURY is to create a custom helmet that will be the very last helmet you will ever need to buy. No more pounding out dents. No more polishing off rust. No more painting it black when you can't get the rust off. And ultimately. . . no more getting rid of it every few years because it's worn out.
Designed to be reminiscent of greek corinthian helmets, while still being combat legal (in a variety of disciplines, depending on what we do with the eye-openings) This helmet is constructed to the standard required to get the name "IOTC Armoury".
We start with a 18g steel blank (nominal thickness after shaping) and shape and weld up the crown of the helmet, and then nest 16g/18GA steel side panels inside of the crown before welding and grinding out the overall shape. (this provides one of the key visual elements common to helmets of this type, where the crown was brazed to the sides/cheekpieces)
Then we create A steel box to hold the helmet crest in position, and add the necessary filler to the eye openings to meet the requirements of your particular martial art, sports, fantasy shows, movies etc.
Available in our normal wide array of powdercoats, electroplates, and polish levels; this helm will look particularly stunning (and appropriate) if brass plated!
