---------- Understanding the Core Deposit ----------
In a perfect world, you could walk in the shop and drop your throttle body on the table and ask for all the performance modifications and come back and pick it up the next day. Well since this is not possible most of the time, we have the need to use a "core exchange" method. Yes if you prefer you can send your throttle body by mail and we will do our work and send it back. In this case the core deposit need not be payed! However, for the majority that do not want to have their car/truck idle for a week or two during the process, the core exchange makes the most sense. We require you to put a deposit down for us to send you out a completed throttle body of ours. After you install it, you can return your throttle body to us (a good functioning core) and we will issue a refund for the core deposit. We send the refund from the original paypal payment, that way neither one of us is charged a fee on the core exchange. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

The LS1 Drive by Wire Cars/Trucks are VERY sensitive to airflow changes and porting in critical areas can create drivability problems. It's a common misconception that over-porting around the throttle blade seat area is the root cause of the problems. When in fact, it's not. Fortunately over the years we have learned the intricasies of these units and have them dialed in. What we have found is the factory units are out of round and after the restrictions are ported out, the air gap around the blade becomes a problem causing driveability problems. The key is porting to not exacerbate these problems and fitting a custom blade. Even if you don't purchase from us, make sure before buying a modified GM drive by wire throttle body that the supplier is reputable and will gurantee their work!
