This handmade sterling silver collectible is made using the same tools, skills and techniques as a fine peice of tableware.  The technique use in this example is chasing, where the surface of the piece is sculpted with small tools to give the design its form.  Chasing allows the artist great control over the metal in terms of detail and relief.   Hand and Hammer Silversmiths- Istanbul 2009 -   The size of this ornament is about    2" Diameter.
