​This limited edition collectible is part of Hand and Hammer’s annual series of Star ornaments.  Made in sterling silver, the Star is a powerful symbol of Christmas.  The Star of the East, often seen in pictures of the Magi, was the Star that guided the Wise Men to Bethlehem and stood in the sky over the manger where Christ was born.

Many Christians see the star as a miraculous sign to mark the birth of the Christ (or messiah). Some theologians claimed that the star fulfilled a prophecy, known as the Star Prophecy
