​Hand and Hammer 3710 Praying Angel 2006 Sterling Silver Christmas Ornament.  The size of this ornament is about 1-3/4" Tall by 1/14" Wide.  In Catholic tradition, Saint Michael is the prince of the church of Jesus Christ and also the defender of Israel. Having revealed the Chaplet of Saint Michael to a Portuguese nun in the 18th Century, Saint Michael is often associated with being the angel that prepared the children shepherds for the visit of the Blessed Mother of God in Fatima, and thus to him it is attributed the prayer. Also of special note, is the fact that Saint Michael is the angel that visited the children in Garabandal, Spain in the 20th century, both as a preparation to the visit of the Blessed Virgin Mary and later giving a message from her after the visits were concluded.
