​2001 Cardinals Sterling Silver Christmas Ornament 2734 Hand & Hammer.  This Sterling collectible is part of the dated birds series that has a large year surrounded by birds.  This years birds are cardinals.  One of the most popular series released by the Silversmiths at Hand & Hammer.

Two thousand and one is either the first or second year of the new Millennium, depending on how one counts.  Arthur C. Clarke and Stanley Kubrick felt that, because there was no year Zero, the third Millennium starts in 2001: and so their science fiction movie and book used that date for their title.  

The size of this ornament is about 1-1/2" high  X  2-1/4" wide. This Sterling Silver Ornament is in excellent like new collectible condition.
