​2003 Songbirds Sterling Christmas Ornament Hand & Hammer #3121.  This Sterling collectible is part of the dated birds series that has a large year surrounded by birds.  The 2003 issue is Songbirds.  One of the most popular series released by the Silversmiths at Hand & Hammer.

There is evidence to suggest that songbirds evolved 50 million years ago in the part of Gondwana that later became Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea and Antarctica, before spreading around the world.  Song Birds contains some 4,000 species found all over the world, in which the vocal organ typically is developed in such a way as to produce a diverse and elaborate bird song.  

The size of this ornament is about 1-1/4" high  X  2" wide. This Sterling Silver Ornament is in excellent like new collectible condition.
