Eiffel Tower Sterling Christmas Ornament 1989 Hand & Hammer #0861. The structure was built between 1887 and 1889 as the entrance arch for the Exposition Universelle, a World's Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution. Three hundred workers joined together 18,038 pieces of puddled iron (a very pure form of structural iron), using two and a half million rivets, in a structural design by Maurice Koechlin. This item was made for the company Print Temps in 1989. It is out of production and very few were ever made.
The size of this ornament is about 3” High X 1-1/2” Wide. This Sterling Silver Ornament is an estate piece and never opened or used. Comes with original Box, packaging and papers. The Ornament has a place for a hook to hang on your tree. Perfect size to wear as a pendant on a chain or ribbon.
We look forward to having you as one of our happy buyers.
