Renaissance Faberge Egg Sterling Christmas Ornament 1997.  Peter Carl Faberge, the famous jeweler to the tzar's of St. Petersburg is  best known for the egg shaped boxes his shop made in the early 20th century.  The peak of his fame came at the Paris exhibition of 1900 where he displayed the ingenious jewel encrusted boxes for which he is famous.  This Sterling Silver collectible is inspired by the design of one of his egg boxes made for that show.  

The size of this ornament is about 2-3/4" X 2".  This item is in excellent like new collectible condition, and comes with all original packaging.
