​Nightingale Bird Sterling Silver Christmas Ornament 1986 Lord & Taylor #0716.  This sterling collectible was made for the Lord and Taylor Department Stores in 1986.  It was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's tale "The Nightingale".  Andersen's stories have been published in over 2000 editions and in 80 Languages.  Andersen describes is fairy tales as "the poetry of the people... it represents all poetry."  He often said "Life is the most wonderful fairy tale of all"

The size is about 1-1/2" Tall by 3" Wide.  This item is in Like New Collectible condition.  Comes with Original Box and Card.  It was released for sale by Lord and Taylor in 1986. Made in the USA.
