Wedding Quilt Tree Sterling Christmas Ornament 1998 Hand & Hammer #2189

Condition: Collectible - Like New
Price: $75.00

Wedding Quilt Tree Sterling Christmas Ornament 1998.  The design of this hand-made Sterling Silver collectible is based on a motif from a pieced and appliqued quilt in the collection of the museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA) in Old Salem, one of the nation's most authentic living history towns, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  The cotton quilt was made by Alice Baynes of Baltimore Maryland, c. 1850 and is known as a wedding quilt.  The quilts included exuberantly decorated hearts, and a central panel consisting of a Willow tree, two houses, and birds representing the union of two families through marriage.

The size of this ornament is about 2" X 2".  This item is in excellent like new collectible condition, and comes with all original packaging.  Hand Made in the USA.

We look forward to having you as one of our happy buyers.
