​Wallace sterling ornament  2003 Christmas Song O Christmas Tree- 4th Edition.   The size of this ornament is about  3” diameter.The Wallace Songs Series started in 2000.  It is double sided.  On the front side shows a Decorated Christmas Tree, a fireplace, a Chandelier, and a window with the North Star shining through, and the words O Christmas Tree on a banner.  The back side shows the same scene with the words Songs of Christmas on the banner.  It is marked Wallace,  Sterling, 2003. This is the 4th of 12 in the series.  This sterling ornament comes with all original packaging, including box, pouch and certificate.

"O Tannenbaum", or, in its English version, "O Christmas Tree", is a Christmas carol of German origin.  A Tannenbaum is a fir tree, or Christmas tree.  Its evergreen qualities have long inspired musicians to write several "Tannenbaum" songs in German.  The best known version was written in 1824 by the Leipzig organist, teacher and composer Ernst Anschütz. The melody is an old folk tune (Lauriger Horatius). The first known "Tannenbaum" song lyrics date back to 1550.
