Cross Sterling Christmas Ornament 2011 Wallace Grande Baroque 16 Ed. In Christianity the cross reminds Christians of God's act of love in Christ's sacrifice at Calvary—"the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." The cross also reminds Christians of Jesus' victory over sin and death, since it is believed that through His death and resurrection He conquered death itself.
The Grande Baroque pattern was part four, of a six part pattern released from 1934-1950, by Wallace Silversmiths, called the “Third Dimension Beauty collection” all of them designed by William S. Warren. These patterns are called “three Dimension” because the design of these patterns, are apparent from the front, back, or profile. The design crowned by the acanthus leaf (acanthus leaf), includes classic symbols of the Renaissance period.
The Wallace Cross Series started in 1996. It is double sided. It is marked Wallace, Sterling, 2011. The size of this ornament is about 4-1/2" High X 3-1/4" Wide. New in Box. Comes with all original packaging, pouches and certificates. The Ornament has a place for a hook to hang on your tree.
