You are bidding for one of John Saccaro's BEST paintings produced.

This important painting easily ranks amongst the masterpieces of the Abstract Expressionist era, on par with the best work of New York School painters such as Rothko, Pollock, Diebenkorn, Kline, or DeKooning.

John Saccaro's "Sensory Raid" series of paintings represents the pinnacle of "action painting" which Franz Kline, DeKooning and Jackson Pollock were striving towards in the 1950's.

John Saccaro is recognized today as an important abstract expressionist painter of the 1950's best known for his powerful "action painting". He was one of the leading artists of the San Francisco Bay Area abstract expressionist movement in the 1950's.

In recent years the San Francisco Bay Area painters are becoming acknowledged by the art community, as equal to the "New York School" (which included Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline, Willem DeKooning, Robert Motherwell, etc.) What this means in economic terms is the "valuation gap" is closing. Prices of San Francisco Bay Area abstract expressionist paintings are quickly catching up to their New York peer group.  The price gap is about 10X. For example a top Richard Diebenkorn painting sells for $5,000,000 while a decent Jackson Pollock or Mark Rothko painting will be about $50 million. This painting by John Saccaro, is clearly on par with this peer group, and should command a valuation well into the 7-figures.

This important painting John Saccaro painting would be a highly desirable acquisition, or loan for any major American museum.

No major Saccaro paintings of this caliber is on the market today.
If there were, such a painting would command $250,000-350,000 with any reputable gallery. Even at that price it would be a bargain, as I (and many experts smarter than me) believe these (the very best of Saccaro's work) paintings will be selling for north of $1 million+ within the next 8-10 years. This ebay listing is an opportunity for a serious collector, or investor, to acquire a painting of major art historical significance at a compelling price.

John Saccaro paintings are in major private collections worldwide, and museums including:
The San Francisco Museum of Modern
Art; The Pasadena Art Museum; The M.H. de Young Memorial Museum, San
Francisco; Elvehjem Museum,
The Oakland Museum , University of Wisconsin at Madison; Palm Springs

Beach; Triton Museum, Santa Clara.
