The hat is in excellent condition (hardly used) and has been box kept. The rim is 2" and the band is 1 1/4". The color is very dark blue to almost black and the sweat band is leather. This was a very EXPENSIVE hat- purchased about 30 yrs ago and part of a collection of 50 or so.
