Reviews: John David's first major release, "Made to Shine," gets regular airplay in my car (and my wife's, for that matter). As a musician and music lover, it is significant to me when any CD gets as much airplay in my car. Catchy melodies, strong vocals, and reflective lyrics from a faith-based perspective. It's simply an enjoyable CD, and I recommend it to anyone who likes a catchy pop-rock sound whose melodies stick with you for days. As John David Webster's first major release (he has had some Indie releases), I can't imagine it getting any better than this! He has an amazing voice, his lyrics reflect life from a faith-based perspective that aren't "offensively preachy," and he knows how to write a melody that sticks with you for days. The musicians on the CD were well-selected, able to rock out (i.e. "Come Alive"), play a catchy pop-rock style (i.e. "Give Me Love"), or back up a heartfelt emotional song like "Now." In short, this CD gets a LOT of playtime in my car (and my wife's, too).
