Going in, you might expect to be lulled into a meditative prayer state, but amidst the quiet, new age piano ballads, like "I Am Thine O Lord," are high-spirited "get excited for Jesus" numbers, like "Come by Here" (a thoughtful mid-tempo gem which begins with a cool piano/organ duet and then becomes more rocking and jazzy with Jim Long's electric guitar), "Oh How I Love Jesus," and the two centerpiece medleys, "Heaven Medley" (which showcases Vaughn's wild improvisations) and "The Benediction Medley," which cooks as it draws new life from Kirk Franklin's "Till We Meet Again" and Vaughn's original, "Till We Meet." Adding a little variety is the gentle, brooding retro-soul jazz ballad "Farther Along," led by a Fender Rhodes style reminiscent of Jeff Lorber.
