Not a factory reproduction, has authentic chinese writting on the base, was purchased when tourism was just opened up for the first time.  My folks purchased many of these items, they had them shipped home from China.  This is in perfect condition.  He stands 12 inches tall, there are no chips, cracks, or repairs of any kind on this.  I will do free gift wrapping for the holidays, just let me know, and will send it out asap for your holiday giving, or just your sheer enjoyment of the age and history of this piece.  Happy Holidays, and thank you for looking in.
