Bill (played by David Carradine) is a fictional character for whom the movie Kill Bill is named. In the film, he is the leader of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, which included his brother, Budd (Michael Madsen). Bill's codename is "Snake Charmer". His origins and full name are not known. He collected father figures, the first of them a pimp named Esteban Vihaio. At some point he became the student of legendary swordsmith Hattori Hanzō (Sonny Chiba) and kung fu master Pai Mei (Gordon Liu).
