*****ATTENTION BIKERS -- AVOID SLIDES SELLING ON EBAY FOR $60 LISTED AS "IMPROVED"
I write this with experience after I tested one of those slides for 6 months. They
will ruin the inner wall of the carburetor due to poor design. Billet
aluminum is way stronger than cast aluminum that the carb is made from
and the carb will take a beating. Corners have been cut in the design
causing more grinding on the inner walls by not allowing the vacuum to
be released through the top. The "half moon" sections that the OEM
throttle plates have are crucial, because they allow the vacuum to be
released through the ports that co-respond to them on the inner walls of
your carburetors. If you remove the top cap of your carburetor you will
see what I am referring to. The lower tapers on the slide that tuck in
between the body and the Venturi ring at the bottom are also not there
on the completely flat design of the $60 slide selling on eBay. The slides were designed in such way by Keihin for a reason and I have explained above why.
We are not talking about an aftermarket o-ring or gasket here, this is
an important actuating part that will affect your carb. Something to

Will fit all 37mm - 41mm FCR-MX carburetors
The plate stamped with M and will not work for the FCR-Racing models, see my other listings for that slide stamped L that is compatible.
The
vacuum release plate is the loose plate on the flat slide assembly that
serves as sort of a vacuum valve to help regulate engine vacuum,
particularly when starting. Will also cause inconsistent idling when
leaking or worn.
I highly recommended a new Vacuum Plate o-ring when replacing the slide, if the slide went bad its because the o-ring was not maintained and the extra movement caused the damage. I can offer a combo price on both - please send a message for it.
