Positioning your monitors is everything to getting a good mix and KK Audio has had the answer for this for over 20 years. Theses stands are 36"height off the floor to the top of the stands and have the standard 10"x10" tops and 12"x12" bases made out of 1" MDF for added stability. We have sold hundreds of thousands of these stands over the years so we must be doing something right .They are constructed out of MDF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium-density_fibreboard) and are texture painted with a Acrylic/Polyurethane water borne paint can be filled with sand or other sound deadening materials and rest on high quality rubber feet but can be ordered with carpet spikes foe an additional fee.
