This Microsoft Lifecam VX-1000 webcam has a host of features and the great quality you'd expect from a name like Microsoft. If you're looking for a good quality, dependable webcam that's guaranteed to work with Windows Vista and MSN messenger (as well as all other webcam/chat programmes), then this is it.
This is the smallest and cheapest of the VX webcam range and doesn't have the advanced features of the 3000 or 6000, but the picture and call quality are exactly the same. The main difference is that this model doesn't have pan & tilt functions, and is aesthetically different to the other models. Apart from that, though - it's largely the same.
The microphone is especially good quality, and the automatic light balance means that even if you're in a dark environment you'll still be seen.
