The LAB1000 is a relatively small record player for 33 and 45 rpm records. It has few controls ("Speed" and "Cut" are the only two buttons on the front panel). The exterior is black. A see-through plastic cover protects the turntable from dust and debris.
It has a built-in AC power cord (two-prong polarized) and two RCA cords for sound output. A stereo receiver or television with RCA input jacks should be used to produce the sound; the Optimus LAB-1000 does not facilitate direct connection to speakers or headphones.
This belt drive automatic turntable has functioned reliably and produced quality audio during a few years of occasional use. It was probably made during the 1990s.
