This
fender fills the gap between the rear fender and the hard
saddlebags. The fender fits on top of the old fender. Should fit
harley touring models from 1993 to present date. This fender is
approximately 4 inches longer than the standard fender. There is some drilling and cutting
required. Because some bikes have dual exhaust and some
have single and the sizes of the exhaust change so much the holes for
the exhaust are not already cut out . But this is very easy to do . The mounting holes are
already marked on the fender with indentations. The
saddlebag extensions easily mold onto the bottom of the saddlebags to
match the extension of the fender. You do not have to repaint your
saddlebags. Some customers have been getting the extensions
painted to match their factory paint and then using a reinforced
body filler with fiberglass strands bonding the two together on the
underside. The fiberglass strands gives the bonded surfaces a superior
strength and adhesion.
