Yes, catfish bait! And a darned good one! Just cut a chunk off & thread it on your trot lines, jug lines, and limb lines (not great for rod & reel-it's a slow bite bait). Between the citronella scent and the high animal fat content that just slowly melts away in warm waters, the catfish go nuts! At the same time, for some reason, turtles, crappie, bass, carp & other fish leave it alone.

Zote lasts a long time-you can keep reusing the same piece as long as you can put a hook through it. Or you can mix grated Zote with a little bacon fat & your favorite smelly stuff (i.e. garlic, chicken livers) and mold it.

Zote is also a key, but often hard to find, ingredient in homemade laundry detergent recipes, both liquid and powdered. With each purchase I will send an assortment of recipes and details on usage info if requested.
