SO ON THE MORNING OF APRIL 12,1980,THIS BRAVE YOUNG MAN SET OUT TO DO HIS PART FOR A CANCER FREE TOMORROW_HE WENT ON A MARATHON OF HOPE_A FEAT TO RUN ACROSS CANADA AND TO RAISE $22 MILLION_THAT WAS THE POPULATION AT THAT TIME IN CANADA_THAT IS ONE DOLLAR PER PERSON OF THE WHOLE POPULATION.THOUGH HIS MARATHON WAS TRAGICALLY CUT SHORT,THE VIGOUR AND DETERMINATION IS STILL ALIVE AND MORE THAN 350 MILLION DOLLARS HAVE BEEN RAISED IN TERRY FOX  MARATHONS ONWARD FOR FIGHT AGAINST CANCER.
