This is a wonderful old (possibly pre 1900) platter that has a wide gold embossed band around the outside and a 2 1/2" center medallion of a pastoral scene.  It measures 16" by 11."  The unusual thing about this platter that will interest collectors is the marks on the back.  First is the hand written Elite L mark which is the Bawo and Dotter porcelain mark,  They were also an import company based in New York.  There is also the Mark and Rosenfeld mark.  Mark and Rosenfeld were also importers.  The other interesting thiing is that Le Mieux created a whole line of china using this same pattern.  Little is known about Le Mieux works.
