Object of the game		This game is about prison life as seen by inmates. In reception, inmates have to collect their ID and Clothes Card before moving into the system. Inmates must travel around the wings and collect four different Discharge Cards before seeking release back into the community. During your time inmates will face many obstacles, including; returning to Court to face further charges, problems with the Prison Governor, transfer between wings and you may even be sent for segregation to the Block. The winner is the inmate who reaches finish, qualifies for release by having four different Discharge Cards and successfully throws the 'Release Dice'. This inmate is deemed fit to return to the community to lead a normal life. Incarceration aims to inform people, especially children that prison is not the place to be as an inmate.

Further notes		In the initial edition (1990) of the game, much of the written information on the back of the game is more about thanking the producers and contributors to the game rather than advertising the game itself. This has now been corrected with this edition of the game, with more relevant information about the game on the back of the box. There are also for some reason 10 more phone cards in this edition of the game. The other difference is that this edition of the game is contained in a slightly more compact and deeper box than the original game. Approx. 90 minutes playing time. Certainly a unique game tackling the normally taboo subject of prison life..
