Army Commendation Medal
An Army Commendation Medal. This medal was issued, as you can see a device was formerly attached to the center of the ribbon. Unfortunately, it is impossible to tell if the missing device was for valor or a subsequent award. As this medal was produced by the disgraced HLI Lordship Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, NY, production date has to be prior to Desert Shield/Storm. Based on appearances, I'm guessing Vietnam Era. Due to notoriety of HLI, medals produced by them are becoming collectable in their own right.
