Issued in 1997 by John Deere & Company, Moline, Illinois For almost six decades, John Deere has been a leader in self-propelled combine technology. The first belt buckle in "The Tradition Continues" series honors this commitment to the best by bringing the classic 55 combine and the popular 9500 Maximizer" together on a design that is exceptional in quality and craftsmanship.
The 55 was a major solution to a hungry world's biggest problem after World War U. It was such an efficient and dependable machine that more than 84,()()() units were manufactured and sold between 1946 and 1959. It remains one of the most widely accepted and successful models of John Deere harvesting equipment.
The latest stage in combine production is the Maximizer concept Operator comfort ease of control, and the most advanced threshing system developed by John Deere have made the 9500 a popular machine for a wide variety of grain and ground conditions.
This fine-quality, limited-edition belt buckle pays tribute to the research and development John Deere has dedicated to its selfpropelled combine line. Only 5,000 of these consecutively numbered collector belt buckles have been produced.
