A Wonderful, Cosmic, Mazer Sterling Atomic Style Retro Bracelet, Brooch, and Earrings. This set likely dates to the late 1940's, when this retro style was all the rage. Each piece features a Striking Starburst design with Bright Red Marquise Rhinestones and Clear Chatons for the points. At the center of each star is a Lovely Faux Pearl, framed with clear chatons. The bracelet band is three snake chains connected to fancy rhinestone connectors, one of which serves as the clasp. The effect is brilliant and breathtaking. In Excellent Vintage Condition, as shown in the photos. There is some tarnishing of the metal in spots, due to age, and the faux pearls have darkened just a little (see closeup photos). Not noticeable at all when the set is worn. The rhinestones are all present and sparkle beautifully. A Radiant and Brilliant Set!
Book Piece: This set, with Faux Sapphire Blue Rhinestones is featured in the book "Costume Jewelers The Golden Age of Design," by Joanne Dubbs Ball, 1990 edition. At that time the estimated value for the set was $650 to $800. Prices for High-End, Collectible Vintage Jewelry have increased dramatically since 1990.
