An original bronze by Louis Ernest Barrias, from the Barbedienne foundry. Signed E.Barrias 1877, F. Barbedienne. With original gilt bronze insider, mounted on an Onyx base with bronze feet. This piece has the number 5527 etched under the Onyx base and appears to be from an older museum collection as evidenced by a red enamel collection number under the base N878336. The sculpture is in good condition with a fine original brown patina. It features a vessel mounted by a Putti aside a snail. Measures 6" high.
