A large bowl by the Whiting Manufacturing Company. C.1885 Appropriate for Grapes, Strawberries or smaller fruit. Organic form with large honeycomb hammering throughout. Cast, applied and engraved decoration including grape clusters, foliate and floral accents. The rim is a rolled, cast and applied Bamboo. The three feet are cast with a distinct Asian flair. This has been well cared for, not abused. Details are crisp, a few pits on the interior. Marked with the Whiting trademark, Sterling, 674D, B.
