A Victorian Cheroot case in the Aesthetic style with a Shakespearean Boar hunt theme. This wonderful case exhibits hand hammering effect and a die rolled, detailed boar hunt scene. I've seen this same scene on napkin rings, very rare ones. This case has an 1882 O date mark. It also bears the Gorham trademark the word sterling and the number 70 just inside the rim of the lid. It is in very good condition and measures 3.25" X 2.5" A very fine piece of 1880's Aesthetic silver work by the Gorham manufacturing company.
