A Harry Osaki handwrought or hand wrought sterling silver spoon, Osaki was a Pasadena California silversmith, considered a modernist. His silver was sold through his studio and Gumps. This spoon measures 4 5/8" long, about the size of a teaspoon but with a small bowl, in size and proportions it closely resembles an infant feeding spoon or rice spoon. Marked Osaki, hand wrought sterling. There is a "D" monogram on the top, reverse side of the handle. There are a few scratches at the top of the handle, almost as if a piece of sand paper were wiped across it. They do not distract significantly from the overall all appearance of the item. There is also some slight lip curl in the bowl from use.
