Probably the rarest serving piece in any American sterling silver flatware pattern. This is an original Reed & Barton Trajan pattern Trout serving knife. You would be hard pressed to find on in any pattern, they are harder to find than trophy Golden Trout! This piece measures 11.25" long, has a gilt blade and no monogram or monogram removals. It is marked with the Reed & Barton Trademark, sterling and B.B. & B. for the retailer Bailey Banks & Biddle. Some light wear to the gold wash. The tip of the knife was bent at one point in time and corrected but there is evidence of it upon close examination. This is a very decorative, floral Victorian pattern. Just try and find another.
