MPD FINNED PRIMARY COVER

Fits all 1965-1988 Big Twins with 4 and 5 speed electric start inner primary (Excl. FLT & FXR)

 

CONDITION:

Please look carefully at all of the pictures and use the supersize and zoom features to make your own final judgement, I have tried to highlight the item from all angles.  Here is the condition as I see it:

- Cover is in overall good condition for a 70's survivor, comes as shown in photos 1-12. 

- Cast aluminum has been chrome plated and is showing its age with light pitting/peeling.

- Cover has had typical lower fin damage from lowsiding, the scrapes have been sanded out and the fins re-shaped as best as possible (see photos 6-8 for detail).

- Cover was set up for and was running a mid-mount peg (hole drilled in the mid-control mount area, see photos # 1 & 10).  Can be run with a mid-mount peg (may need to be filled and re-tapped to reun stock style mid-controls), or can be threaded and plugged, or aluminum welded/filled.  PLEASE NOTE that the inside of the control mount shows what could be a casting defect or a light stress crack (no issue is showing on the outside), see photo #10 for detail. 

- Inside of cover has almost none of the typical wear from primary chain slap and is in great condition with the MPD casting information perfectly visible. 

 - Electric start boss has needle bearing currently installed and in working condition, but I would suggest a good cleaning and re-greasing.
