Up for grabs is another genuine piece of 70's chopper history: CUSTOM PAINTED PEANUT CHOPPER TANK WITH GOLD LEAF.

This is the ultimate garage hanger conversation piece or a tank that will truly make that period 70's chopper build one of a kind!
CONDITION:
Please look at all of the supersized pictures and use the zoom feature to make your own final judgement, I have tried to highlight the item from all angles. Here is the condition as I see it:
- Tank is in overall good shape for its age and for being a 70's survivor that was on somebody's old chopper back in the day out on the lost highways.
- Steel body is in good shape with only 1 major flaw: 1" long crease/dent on the right side with a a very small additional ding directly in front of it (see photos 9, 10).
- Inside is clean and ready to be filled up and run. Factory coating is still intact and no signs of rust/issues that can be seen.
- The paint has plenty of knicks, chips, and scrapes that can be seen in pictures 1-11. In my opinion it has that perfect 70's patina that's not too beat up to run on a nice bike, but still tells a story no brand new paint job can.
-The most major "flaw" in the paint is the missing (chipped off) paint in the dinged area on the right which has been temporarily fixed somewhere along the lines with black marker (see photos 9, 10).
-Also of note are the 3 medium and 1 smaller sized scrapes in the side panel paint on the Left (see photos 4, 6).
-The Gold Leaf on the top has peeled up and flaked off in spots and is peeling up/raised in others (see photos 1-3, 7-9).
- No gas cap or petcocks are included.
FITMENT:
- This is a standard Harley Davidson Sportster "Peanut" tank with the stock mounts for 1957-1978 Ironhead frames.
- Please verify on fitment on your end before purchase with your model year/frame, or that you are comfortable with custom fitting to your application.
- I am more than happy to assist with measurements or additional pictures if needed.
