Up for grabs is another genuine piece of 70's chopper history: CUSTOM PAINTED G.M.E. RIBBED ALIEN CHOPPER TANK.
This is a tank that tells a story and will truly make that period 70's chopper build one of a kind!
CONDITION:
Please look at all of the supersized pictures and use the zoom feature to make your own final judgement, I have tried to highlight the item from all angles. Here is the condition as I see it:
- Tank is in overall good shape for its age and for being a 70's survivor that was on somebody's old Panhead chopper back in the day.
- Steel body is in good shape with only 1 major flaw: A 2" diameter dent at the front on the bottom right side of the tank (see photos 5, 6, 7, 8).
- Inside is fairly clean with only areas of light suraface rust and is probably fine to be filled up and run with a good fuel filter, but should probably be rinsed/cleaned out before use (see photo 12)
- The old 70's custom flaked paint job has plenty of knicks, chips, scrapes and cracking due to age (see photos 1-11) .
- GME Stamp on both the front and rear mounting tabs are clearly visible.
- No petcocks are included, can be run with single or dual petcocks.
FITMENT:
- This is a 70's aftermarket Alien/Peanut style tank made by GME for custom applications.
- Please verify on fitment on your end before purchase with your model year/frame, or that you are comfortable with custom fitting to your application.
- I am more than happy to assist with measurements or additional pictures if needed.
