關山月(1912~2000) 原名關澤霈，廣東省陽江人。擅長中國畫。1933年畢業於廣州市師範學校後任小學教師，1936年到中山大學聽“嶺南派”高劍父授課並進“春睡畫院”學習。1939年第一次在澳門、香港和湛江舉辦個人畫展，後開始“行萬里路”，從廣東出發，到廣西、貴州、雲南、四川、甘肅、青海、陝西等省沿途深入生活，收集素材。又漫遊南洋諸島，描繪異國風光。出版《關山月南洋紀遊畫集》和《西南·西北旅行寫生選》。1946年被聘為廣州市立藝專教授兼中國畫科主任。1949年初到香港參加“人間畫會”。解放後，歷任華南文藝學院教授兼美術部副部長，中南美專教授兼副校長，廣州美術學院教授、副院長，第三屆、四屆、五屆、六屆全國人民代表大會代表並參加主席團，第二屆、三屆、四屆全國文聯委員，中國美協廣東分會主席，廣東畫院院長，中國美術家協會副主席、顧問等職。關山月始終堅持深入生活，勤奮創作。五六十年代常到工廠、礦山，70年代越天山、上井岡山、登黃山、重遊青海湖、再訪莫高窟、西出陽關、南入巴蜀、暢遊三峽，又一次“行萬里路”。他多次出國訪問，前後到蘇聯、波蘭、瑞士、法國、比利時、朝鮮、越南、日本、美國，參觀各國名畫，使他的畫閃耀著時代精神。代表作有《俏也不爭春》、《碧浪湧南天》、《長河頌》，還有與傅抱石合作的《江山如此多嬌》、《輕舟已過萬重山》等大量作品。他多次在國內外舉辦個展，出版有多種個人專集。1991年捐資中國美協設立“關山月中國畫教學創作基金”，捐贈作品建立深圳“關山月美術館”。
