艾中信 (1915~2003) 上海市浦東人。擅長油畫。1941年畢業於中央大學藝術系。1943年為中國美術學院副研究員；1946年北京藝術專科學校副教授；1950年中央美術學院教授；1954年中央美術學院教授兼油畫系主任；1978年中央美術學院副院長。現任吳作人國際美術基金會理事長。中國大百科全書編委會委員。油畫《紅軍過雪山》、《東渡黃河》等被革命歷史博物館收藏；出版有《徐悲鴻研究》、《讀畫論畫》、《 油畫風采談》、《艾中信畫集》等專著。
