Really nice K98 Slotted Bayonet with a high quality Solingen Blade and produced by Lauterjung & Co. and is well marked with their trademark logo of the stalking tiger.
RARE MAKER: THIS COMPANY DID NOT PRODUCE A LARGE NUMBER OF EDGE WEAPONS AND WAS WELL KNOWN FOR ITS QUALITY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
Overall length in scabbard is a full 15.5". Blade is approx. 10" and from handle to tip is about 14.5". The scabard is nice and in excellent condition. The blade is a crisp bright and would easily rate near mint 98%. Slotted for mounting on the K98 rifle and the release button works perfectly. The rivets are sound and solid and the handles perfect with no cips or cracks. Leather washer is intact. It would be very difficult to upgrade this beauty!
