Please check our About Me page for regular updates of what is currently happening behind the scenes.      Classics Illustrated #62  1949 HRN 62 Original Kiefer C/A Bret Harte's WESTERN STORIES "The Luck of Roaring Camp" "The Outcasts of Poker Flat" Bret Harte was responsible for introducing the life in a Gold Rush Camp to the literary World. These camps could be lawless and quite uncivilized, so the challenge was writing about them, in a way, that was accurate and appealing to the public, yet socially acceptable. Thats where the romance comes in! The combination of the two sold magazines...and people still love his stories.  This issue has Blazing Colors!
