This is really, a quite sharp button from the 1972 North Dakota  Presidential  Campaign  of 

Senator   George   McGovern.

This 1 3/4th's inch cello, has a white background with blue and red lettering.   

In the center the button is an outline of 

The State of North Dakota 

which is right next to McGovern's Home State of 

South Dakota.

On the button it reads:

"PEACE GARDEN STATE 

For 

  McGOVERN" .

It's very hard to find this button, but this one is in  mint  condition!
