This is a RARE, Official button that was given only to Invited Guests  who attended the Nov. 2nd, 1976  Election Night "Victory Party"  that was held for 

President  Elect  Jimmy  Carter 

& 

Walter  F.  Mondale.  

This  2 1/4th inch cello, has a white background with green lettering.   

On the button it reads:  

"I Was There  

1976   

CARTER ~ MONDALE   

 ELECTION  NIGHT  VICTORY  PARTY" .  

On the curl it reads:  "Authorized & Paid for by the D.N.C."

This button is in a perfect, mint condition.
