This is a very rare and intact Book of Match's from 1976, and the 

"U. S. S.  SEQUOIA 

  PRESIDENTIAL  YACHT" .

These were obtained from the Yacht after the Ford Family took their last sailing trip down the Potomac shortly before leaving The Presidency.  

Jimmy Carter  had the yacht  sold in 1977 despite what Public Opinion Polls said at the time.   Carter said it was a frivolous thing.  

Regardless of the fact that President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and ever other President after him, had enjoyed the trips down the Potomac.  It was a chance to unwind for the Presidents, and it was a very worthy thing for a Chief Executive to have at his disposal at anytime.  

Even Richard M. Nixon found solace  on The Sequoia one day, taking his final trip down the Historic Potomac  River the very same day he resigned from the Presidency.

This standard book of match's have a white background (front & back).  

On the front, in the center, in embossed blue printing, is 

     The Official Seal 

  of 

      The U.S.S. Sequoia,  

and It reads:  

"U.S.S. SEQUOIA 

   PRESIDENTIAL YACHT" .  

There is nothing printed on the back.  There is only the Striking Pad.
